The Kingdom of Morocco has renewed its support for the State of Qatar and its desire to provide it with the human and logistical means to successfully organize the great football event, the 2022 World Cup.
A press release from the Ministry of the Interior indicates that in the concretization of the strategic and distinguished relations linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Qatar, thanks to the strong ties which unite King Mohammed VI and Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, several working sessions were held between the Minister of the Interior, the General of the Army Corps, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Director General of National Security, Director General of Territorial Surveillance, with a high Qatari delegation level.
These working sessions were devoted to examining the methods of cooperation and sharing of expertise between the two countries in the area of securing major sporting events, with a view to organization by the State of Qatar of the 2022 soccer World Cup, the statement said.
Affirming the deep ties and the strategic relations uniting the two brotherly countries and peoples, under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI and Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Kingdom expressed its desire to put the accumulated experience by its security services, under the National Security and the Royal Gendarmerie, in the field of management and security of major international sporting events, available to the Brothers in the State of Qatar and this, according to a common global vision aimed at consolidating efforts, sharing of expertise and strengthening security cooperation between the two countries, the statement added.
These sessions were also an opportunity to renew Morocco’s support for the brother State of Qatar and confirm the Kingdom’s desire to provide it with the human and logistical means to successfully organize this major football event, the Cup Football World Cup 2022, concludes the press release.
