The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has just published the report of traffic accidents, occurred, in urban perimeter, last week. In total, 27 people lost their lives.
27 deaths, 2,004 people injured, including 76, seriously, in 1,492 traffic accidents. Thus presents the table of road accidents in urban perimeter, during the week from 22 to 28 July, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the DGSN, the causes of traffic accidents are many and varied. These include driver inadvertence, lack of priority, speeding, failure to respect the safety distance, pedestrian inadvertence, change of direction without use of signal, loss of control, unauthorized change of direction, non-compliance with the stop, drunk driving, left-lane traffic, non-compliance with traffic lights, passing over and traffic in the prohibited direction.
The security services registered 47,147 tickets and drafted 11,527 minutes, as part of the control and punishment operations. These violations and these minutes were submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the same source adds. As to transaction fines, 35,620 were recovered.
In addition, the municipal impoundment of 4,847 vehicles, the seizure of 6,556 documents and the withdrawal of the circulation of 124 vehicles, generated 7,093,300 dirhams, concludes the DGSN.
