The head of the government chaired a ceremony dedicated to the implementation of the second cooperation program of the Millennium Challenge Agency (MCA), granting Morocco funding of more than 400 million dollars for vocational training, education and employment.
This agreement was formalized Friday after two years of preparation of this program which finally received the approval of the US administration and the government of Morocco.
Saad-Eddine El Othmani welcomed the implementation of this program which concerns 15 sectors.
The Director General of the Agency of MCA Morocco, Abdelghani Lakhdar, explained that the Compact II program concerns the activities “secondary education”, “vocational training”, “employment” which are part of the project “Education and Training for Employability”, as well as activities related to “the Industrial land”, “Productivity of land” and “Rural land”.
For its part, El Othmani observed that this program is spread over a fixed period of three years, inviting an acceleration of its implementation in order to succeed in the bet to carry out substantive reforms. The head of government praised the public and private sectors as well as the civil society for their partnership to bring this second program to a successful conclusion.
