52 new speed cameras on Moroccan roads

The Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water said that 52 radars will soon be installed across the kingdom. Abdelkader Amara made the announcement, last Tuesday.

The installation of these radars aims to reduce the number of accidents by 50% by 2026, assured the minister.
“We had noticed that the presence of speed cameras on the roads has the beneficial effect of reducing the number of accidents,” added Abdelkader Amara.

The Minister also deplored that the traffic accidents that occur on the highways are serious and dramatic. They are more numerous on these good quality and well maintained communication routes.
