On the occasion of the participation of Atlas Lions in the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) which will take place from June 21 to July 19, 2019 in Cairo, an agreement was signed this Friday, June 14 in Rabat, by the Minister of Youth and Sports, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the President of Royal Air Maroc, for the establishment of a program of flights between Casablanca and Cairo to allow supporters to travel to Egypt to cheer on the national team, announces a joint statement.
Thus, Royal Air Maroc will schedule more than 82 flights during the first round of this competition, which will run from June 23 to July 1, 2019, to allow more than 7,500 passengers to accompany the Atlas Lions in Egypt.
Royal Air Maroc has mobilized more than 54 additional flights that will reinforce its 18 scheduled flights. The airline offers these additional flights at two fixed price levels covering transportation to and from the airport, namely MAD 3,000 and MAD 4,000. Flights scheduled to allow supporters to attend the match and return after the end of the meeting, are marketed at a fixed price of MAD 3,000. As for flights allowing supporters to attend more than one match, are offered at the fixed price of MAD 4,000.
The offer will be offered for sale from Saturday, June 15, 2019 through the company’s marketing channels (sales offices, website and call centers) as well as through the national network of travel agencies.
This new partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and Royal Air Maroc comes a few months after two similar initiatives undertaken by the three parties.
