The Moroccan football selection appears in Hat 1 of the draw of the African Cup of Nations (AfCON Egypt-2019), following the distribution, Thursday, by the African Confederation (CAF) qualified teams.
The distribution of the 24 teams qualified in the different hats was made according to the latest FIFA ranking of April 4, 2019, accepted globally as an indicator of the level of these selections, adds the CAF.
Morocco and Nigeria have joined Hat 1, unlike the last ranking published last Sunday.
The ranking has, moreover, undergone various changes in Hats 3 and 4.
Here are, moreover, the composition of the four hats.
Hat 1: Egypt, Cameroon, Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco.
Hat 2: DR Congo, Ghana, Mali, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Algeria.
Hat 3: South Africa, Uganda, Benin, Mauritania, Madagascar, Kenya.
Hat 4: Zimbabwe, Namibia, Guinea Bissau, Angola, Tanzania, Burundi.
The draw for the 32nd edition of the CAN, scheduled for June 21 to July 19, will take place Friday in Cairo, with the participation of several personalities and a panoply of African, Arab and international football stars.
This edition will be the first of its kind to feature 24 selections and take place in summer, instead of the January-February period.
