In one week, Morocco benefited from two financings granted by the African Development Bank (AfDB). After the social protection component, the bank shows its commitment to support the site of regionalization in Morocco through the development of industrial centers. Thus, the AfDB’s board of directors approved, yesterday Wednesday, a financing of 220 million dollars intended to implement a program focused on the results for the improvement of the territorial competitiveness in Morocco, according to a press release from the bank.
The latter recalls that this program aims to bring out the territories as new competitive industrial centers to attract more private investors and generate new jobs. This new dynamic supports Morocco’s efforts in the regional implementation of its industrial acceleration plan.
“This operation is a strategic contribution to the dynamic of advanced regionalization initiated by the Kingdom,” said Mohamed El Azizi, AfDB General Manager for North Africa. Making territories more attractive and more competitive is a priority for us, which will establish the conditions for more sustainable and inclusive development, he added.
