The Professional Association of Credit Establishments of Cameroon (APECCAM) is designated guest of honor at the 15th edition of the Africa Pay & ID Expo (APIDE), the annual fair for payment, digitalization, mobile and identification in French-speaking Africa, to be held next March 12 and 13 in Marrakech.
Led by Alphonse Nafack, President of APECCAM, a large delegation composed of representatives of the banking sector and technological experts is thus expected to share with the 1,500 participants present their visions on the strategies adopted to accelerate the digital transformation of banks and the development of digital economy in Cameroon. Major projects in terms of modernizing payment systems will be highlighted during a session organized in honor of Cameroon.
Since its creation in 2006, APIDE has played a fundamental role in promoting new means of payment, digital transformation and e-gov technologies in Africa. Today, this regional event brings together more than 1,500 public and private players from more than 60 countries, around three days of conferences, training and 3,000 m2 of exhibitions dedicated to new innovations and solutions adapted to the continent.
APIDE is therefore a true immersion in the technologies linked to the payment industry and to the most prominent identification systems: new frontiers in biometrics, protection of personal data, evolving challenges of electronic banking, digital banking, mobile payment, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, internet of things…
