Air traffic down 71.48% in Morocco in 2020

During 2020, air traffic recorded a decrease of 71.48% at Moroccan airports compared to 2019, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

Moroccan airports welcomed 7,150,277 passengers in 2020 against 25,075,095 in 2019.

Mohammed V Airport handled more than around 41.8% of overall passenger traffic (2,994,902 passengers), compared to 10,313,196 passengers in 2019, down 70.96%.

The other airports are on the same downward trend: Marrakech Menara airport has fallen by 76.42% with 1,508,780 passengers in 2020, or 21.1% of national traffic.

The same goes for Agadir Al Massira airport which welcomed 587,566 passengers in 2020, down 70.75%.

Tangier-Ibn Battouta airport welcomed 490,488 passengers in 2020, down 63.85% compared to 2019. Fez-Saiss airport shows a decline of 70.91%, with 412,710 passengers and -72.82% for Rabat-Salé airport, with only 299,333 passengers in 2020.
