Akhannouch visits Australia to strengthen bilateral economic relations

The Minister of Agriculture, Sea Fisheries, Rural Development, Waters and Forests, Aziz Akhannouch begins Monday a working visit to Australia, aimed at strengthening economic relations between Rabat and Canberra, particularly in areas of agriculture and sea fishing.

This visit aims to increase the volume of exchanges, boost investment and encourage technical cooperation and exchange of expertise in various fields related to the two sectors of activity, as well as to present the Moroccan potential in these sectors and progress made in the framework of the “Plan Maroc Vert” and Halieutis strategies.

Several meetings with institutions are scheduled, as well as meetings for Moroccan professionals with Australian operators.

During this visit, Akhannouch will be accompanied by Mbarka Bouaida, Secretary of State for Sea Fisheries, and a large delegation composed of Presidents of Chambers of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, professionals from both sectors and officials from departments of agriculture and marine fisheries.
