Algeria: Ahmed Ouyahia resigns

After renouncing a fifth term, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika received Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia in Algiers. The latter presented him with his letter of resignation, announced the Algerian official agency APS.

And it is the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Territorial Development, Nureddine Bedoui, who has been appointed Prime Minister to replace Ahmed Ouyahia, reports the APS. And to add that President Bouteflika has charged Bedoui to form the new government.

Ramtane Lamamra has also been appointed deputy prime minister.

Recall that in a message sent Monday to the Algerian people, the current tenant of the palace of El Mouradia announced the postponement of the presidential election of April 18, but especially his decision not to take part. He also announced the formation of a government of national skills.
