It will be a first for American Airlines in Africa. The US airline will serve Morocco next year with flights to Casablanca that will be operated three times a week on a Boeing 757. The announcement was made by the company which strengthens its international flights.
“Our customers and our team members asked us when we will start service in Africa and I could not be happier to make the announcement for the launch of this service from 2020,” said Vasu Raja, vice President of the network and planning at American Airlines.
The company says it is “looking forward to working with Royal Air Maroc when it joins One World in January 2020”. The goal is to ensure more connections in Africa to cities such as Marrakech, Lagos and Accra.
