BMCE Bank of Africa was doubly awarded by Arabia CSR Awards for the sixth year in a row for the two categories Financial Services Category and Partnerships and Collaborations.
The awards, presented in Dubai, recognize organizations in the region that demonstrate leadership and commitment to sustainability, says BMCE BoA.
This regional benchmark has significantly expanded its reach over the decade and its credibility has earned it the trust and recognition of global and regional bodies such as the United Nations Global Compact, the United Nations Environment Program and the League of Arab States.
The crowning achievement of the Bank comes in the wake of the “Top Performer CSR” award also obtained for the sixth time in a row by the non-financial rating agency VigeoEiris, which since last April has teamed up with Moody’s with the aim of promoting the use of standards on a global scale with market players.
Launched in 2008, “Arabia CSR Award” is the 1st Sustainable Development and CSR Award of the Arab Region, based on international principles and frameworks recognized worldwide and supported by renowned institutions (United Nations Global Compact, United Nations Environment Program, …).
For the past ten years, the award has received more than 1,000 applications from more than 900 organizations representing 39 sectors from 13 different countries.
