Automotive industry: Morocco has (already) exceeded its objectives

According to the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, who was speaking at the opening of the 6th edition of the Salon of automotive subcontracting, With regard to the objectives set in the framework of the Industrial Acceleration Plan, the objective of creating 90,000 jobs by 2020 has been exceeded, recording 129% of this figure at the end of 2018.

The production capacity of 600 000 vehicles by 2020 has also been exceeded in 2018, bringing the target to 1 million vehicles, while efforts are continuing to achieve the objectives of turnover and the rate of ‘local integration,’ he pointed out.
