In April, Grupo Bimbo, the world leader in industrial bakery, launches in Morocco, the Bread range that makes its success and its reputation internationally.
Produced in the new BimboMorocco factory, its third establishment in the Kingdom, its breads are now distributed through traditional and modern circuits. Their launch confirms the Group’s ambition to develop its presence in the Moroccan market.

The bread range Bimbo, which is launched today on the Moroccan market, comes in a wide range of specialties including bread, hamburger bread, Lebanese bread, etc. to name a few, all made from carefully selected ingredients produced to the highest international hygiene standards.

The bread proudly adorned by the mascot Bimbo, an uncommon little white bear, has something to reconcile parents and children. Indeed, it retains for a long time its nutritional properties, as well as the tenderness and mellowness of its crumb.
Bimbo bread comes in three versions: Nature, Complete and Actilait. The latter, enriched with milk and vitamins A-D to promote the growth of children.

A growing Moroccan presence
It was in March 2017 that Grupo Bimbo invested for the first time in Morocco, via its subsidiary BimboMorocco, through the acquisition of the company “Belle pâtisserie” as well as the marketing of the Belle et Bimbo brands and the modernization of two factories, one in Kenitra, the second in Meknes.
The start-up of the Casablanca production site in March 2019, dedicated to different high-quality industrial bread specialties, marks an important step in the expansion of the Group’s presence in Morocco and embodies its great ambitions and its confidence in the Moroccan market.

Founded in 1945, Grupo Bimbo quickly became international and, driven by a strong corporate culture and great ambitions, first established itself on the American continent, becoming the number one bread in the United States.
Its policy of international expansion and purchase of brands has also enabled it to establish itself in the American, European and Asian continents. Its location in Morocco since March 2017 should encourage the Group to pursue its development strategy in this potential market as well as in Africa.
