The Bank Of Africa Group (BOA) was named “Best Bank in Africa 2020” by obtaining the prestigious “Golden Award” trophy awarded at the AIFA -Africa Investments Forum & Awards, by Leaders League.
BOA underlines in a press release that this prize was awarded by an organization dedicated to business opportunities which brings together a high-level audience of more than 700 public and private decision-makers to then, through a jury composed of 100 members, reward the best projects and companies for their performance in Africa and their innovation.
And to point out that this consecration, the second after that of 2018, rewards an African bank with a remarkable positioning on the continent, BOA being the most internationally oriented Moroccan banking group with a presence in around thirty countries in Africa, in Europe and Asia, and employing more than 15,000 people around the world, with a network of 1,800 points of sale serving more than 6 million customers.
The year 2020 was for the Group an accelerator of change in an exceptional context, continues BOA, which notes that the bank continued its digital transformation process during this year through remote banking platforms at the service of its customers and measures have been put in place to support the national economy through the launch of new products to support businesses nationally and internationally.
The Group also notes that the Bank’s continuous development ambitions have affirmed its capacity for innovation, in particular through cutting-edge communication tools, such as the edition in 2020 of the 1st annual report integrated into the national banking landscape, in different versions, in particular in digital and different languages, and a website bringing together all of the Group’s financial and extra-financial information.
Bank Of Africa is also distinguished by a strong commitment in the areas of the environment and social and societal responsibility, in particular through the BMCE Bank foundation and the promotion of positive impact finance.
