BCIJ dismantles 13-member terrorist cell

The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) has just dismantled a new terrorist cell composed of 13 elements, including two former prisoners, aged between 22 and 44, who are active in the cities of Kelâa Sraghna, Sale, Casablanca and Mohammedia, indicates the Ministry of the Interior. This operation is part of the fight against terrorist threats related to the terrorist organization “Daech”.

During the operation, elements of the BCIJ seized electronic devices, knives, hoods, books extolling extremist ideology, a manuscript of allegiance to the so-called caliph of “Daech” and a handwritten letter in the form of a will inciting to murder. The preliminary investigation has shown that the defendants prepare the execution of terrorist operations that threaten the security of persons and public order.
