BCIJ: Two ISIS members arrested in Rabat

As part of efforts to detect extremist elements carrying terrorist projects, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), under the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested Sunday two elements in favor of terrorism ‘Islamic State organization’, aged 30 and 34, who are active in the city of Rabat.

The security investigations revealed that in addition to their total adherence to the destructive agenda of “ISIS”, apology and propaganda in favor of this terrorist group, the two elements decided planned and prepared the execution of terrorist projects in Kingdom, says a statement from the BCIJ.

This operation allowed the seizure of various electronic devices, in addition to weapons, specifies the same source.

This security operation confirms the continuation of the terrorist threats posed by the “Daech” group and its supporters, who continue to utter threats of terrorist operations in retaliation for the defeat of this group in its fiefdoms on the Syria-Iraq scene, the statement added.

The suspects were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office in charge of terrorism cases, in order to clarify the circumstances of their involvement in the preparation and planning of terrorist acts, concludes the BCIJ.
