BCIJ: Young people arrested in the Agadir region

Elements of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance have managed to arrest a group of individuals who have pledged allegiance to the so-called “Islamic State”. These arrests took place on Tuesday morning in Tiznit and Chtouka Ait Baha, Souss-Massa region.

Sources revealed that a 20-year-old was arrested in Tiznit, suspected of belonging to Daesh. He was transferred to the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) in Salé for further investigation.

Two other young men were also arrested the same day, one in the commune of Inchaden, the second in that of Massa. Both are suspected of belonging to the so-called Islamic State terrorist organization.

The same sources add that elements of the BCIJ have undertaken extensive sanitation campaigns involving several individuals suspected of having pledged allegiance to Daesh.
