The BCP group, a leading Pan-African banking player, and Huawei, a global operator in the telecoms and new information technology sector, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to consolidate their strategic cooperation on the scale of the African continent, both on the banking side and on that of technological solutions
The signing ceremony was held on July 2 at BCP headquarters, and was chaired by Kamal MOKDAD, Managing Director of BCP and International, and by Cao JIBIN, President of Huawei North Africa.
Under this agreement, the BCP group will provide multifaceted banking support for the activities of the technology giant in its countries of presence in Africa. For its part, Huawei will support the efforts made by the BCP group in the field of new technologies, whether to accelerate the digitalization process already started or for the development of new innovative financial solutions with high added value, across all customer segments.
During the signing ceremony, Kamal MOKDAD said: “Through this strategic partnership, the BCP group intends to accelerate its technological leadership by combining its financial expertise developed on the continent with the technological power of the Huawei group, in areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, and digital and mobility solutions”.
