BCP signs a MoU with Sumitomo

The “Banque centrale populaire” (BCP) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) consolidate their partnership. Both have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mutually develop business opportunities in Africa.

The agreement, signed in the margins of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), allows the Moroccan banking group and its subsidiaries to become privileged banks that accompany Japanese and Asian customers of SMBC as part of their investment and trade projects in Morocco, Mauritius and in the countries of BCP presence in sub-Saharan Africa.

According to BCP, “this multifaceted support covers global and tailor-made solutions, ranging from project financing, cash management and Trade Finance products, to the development of local partnerships”.
