Bird & Bird, the law firm sets up in Morocco

The international law firm Bird & Bird announces the opening of a satellite office in Casablanca and the creation of the company Bird & Bird Africa in Casablanca in Morocco.

Boris Martor and Gildas Louvel, partners based in Paris and members of the Bird & Bird Africa practice, lead the firm’s efforts in Morocco alongside Stan Andreassen, counsel, as well as Anissa Akentour and Sofia El Biyed (collaborators).

This presence on the ground allows Bird & Bird to better support its customers in Morocco. The Firm is also ideally located to seize new opportunities on the African market, in particular in terms of financing projects, financial regulation and M&A or arbitrations in the sectors related to energy, communications, information technology, infrastructure, aviation and financial services.

Developing the firm’s footprint and building relationships with clients across Africa are key elements of Bird & Bird’s African strategy.

Associates and teams dedicated to Africa provide services both to African clients but also to clients who wish to invest or develop on the continent. Its members are located around the world, notably in Paris, London, China, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Netherlands, Singapore and Australia.

The new Casablanca satellite office contributes to this expanded capacity and is strategically aligned with the firm’s visibility and its commitment to supporting all of its clients in Africa.
