Brexit: BMCE Bank of Africa will stay in London

Regardless of the outcome of Brexit, BMCE Bank of Africa will continue to operate in London, management said at the presentation of the annual results.

The group will keep two licenses in Europe including one in the United Kingdom. “London will continue to be a major global financial center and we believe in it,” said Othman Benjelloun, CEO of BMCE Bank of Africa.

The bank will also hold a license in continental Europe with the Madrid subsidiary as standard bearer.
