Casablanca: 85 capsules of cocaine extracted from his stomach

A total of 1.540 kg of cocaine, contained in 85 capsules, was extracted from the stomach of a Nigerian national on Saturday at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center (CHU) in Casablanca, said the police headquarters of Casablanca.

The elements of the police at Casablanca International Airport Mohammed V arrested him, on January 21, when he arrived on board a flight from the airport of Sao Paulo (Brazil), to be suspected of carrying cocaine in his stomach, which necessitated placing him under medical supervision at CHU Ibn Rochd, DGSN said in a statement.

After the extraction of the capsules and the stabilization of the health state of the defendant, he was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
