Casablanca Stock Exchange has new CEO

Tarik Senhaji has been appointed Managing Director of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, succeeding Karim Hajji who has asserted his retirement rights.

The assumption of office of the new Managing Director will be effective from April 2, 2020, indicates a press release from the Stock Exchange, noting that Senhaji was appointed unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Stock Exchange and in compliance with legal provisions and regulatory.

A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris and the National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE) in Paris, Senhaji began his career as a financial manager at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) ) in Washington DC, adds the same source.

He then held various management positions in London, linked to the capital markets, at Société Générale, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Calyon CIB and Natixis CIB.

Senhaji has over 23 years of experience in the financial sector in the Moroccan and international markets. Prior to this appointment, he was Managing Director of Ithmar Capital, the sovereign strategic investment fund, and President of the Moroccan Society for Tourist Engineering.

The Board of Directors also wished to salute the action of Hajji at the head of the Casablanca Stock Exchange for almost 11 years, underlining his unfailing commitment, his role in the transformation of the Moroccan stock market and his contribution to the influence space.
