CCME complains against “El Mundo”

The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) has announced that it has filed a legal complaint against “El Mundo” for “violation of honor and privacy”, following comments in “a defamatory article published by the Spanish newspaper on June 11, 2019”.

“The charges in this article taint the reputation of a constitutional institution, its Secretary General, a family member and a CCME member,” said the CCME.

The complaint was registered at the Madrid Court of First Instance on Wednesday, 31 July 2019, through a law firm in the Spanish capital that will advocate for the CCME and its Secretary General.

The CCME and its official are bringing the director of “El Mundo” and the company that publishes it to court for compensation for the harm they have suffered.
