Chef “Salt Bae” buys a restaurant in Casablanca

The famous Turkish restaurateur nicknamed “Salt Bae” recently purchased a restaurant on the Corniche in Casablanca. Renovations are planned before the official opening in a few months.

Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, nicknamed Salt Bae, is said to have chosen the Moroccan economic capital to expand his chain of luxury steakhouses, Nusr-ET.

The name of the restaurant has not yet been released but the takeover was made earlier this month for the modest sum of 100 million dirhams.

As a reminder, Chief Salt Bae, met King Mohammed VI in the United Arab Emirates in 2018. On his Twitter account, Salt Bae warmly thanked the king for visiting him.
