Morocco received 500,000 new doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine on Friday. This new stock supports the kingdom’s efforts to carry out its anti-Covid vaccination campaign.
A Royal Air Maroc Dreamliner sent this new shipment of the Sinopharm vaccine from China. This lot is added to another of the same quantity, received by the kingdom last Monday. As soon as they landed on Moroccan soil, the 500,000 doses were transported on board three trucks from the National Transport and Logistics Company to the Independent Freezing Agency in Casablanca.
It should be noted that since India suspended its shipments of the AstraZeneca vaccine, China has regularly delivered its vaccine to the kingdom. The latter, said Li Zhanshu, chairman of the Chinese National People’s Congress, is expected to receive around 10 million doses of the vaccine during April and May of this year.
