The prestigious French fashion house Christian Dior will organize, for the first time in its history, a parade in Morocco next April.
“After offering the Blenheim Palace in England (2016), the Calabasas desert in California (2017) and the Chantilly (2018) rides in France, Dior has opted for a sunniest destination in the world for organization of its next cruise,” French media reports Friday.
Thus the famous Parisian house will take up residence under the sun of Marrakesh to present, on April 29, its next collection “Croisière 2020”, in “a place still kept secret”, indicate the same sources while underlining that ” it is the first time that the French house organizes a show of such a scale in Morocco”.
This announcement completes the calendar of cruise collections. Prada and Louis Vuitton have already announced that their Cruise Parade will be staged in New York this year, May 2 and 8, respectively. Chanel will present its collection at the Grand Palais in Paris on May 3, while Max Mara will be packing in Berlin on June 3. Only Gucci has yet to announce the venue and date of his parade.
Organized by the big houses, the “Croisière” fashion shows, considered as real stylistic and media events, are as popular as the traditional fashion weeks, by the press, the customers and the international buyers.
