Colombia supports the territorial integrity of Morocco

In a statement to the press after his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Nasser Bourita, the Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Holmes Trujillo, said that “Colombia welcomes the Moroccan proposal of Autonomy presented in 2007 to reach a political solution, realistic, durable and based on the compromise of all parties to put an end to this question which is of fundamental importance for Morocco because it concerns its Territorial Integrity and his Sovereignty”.

The Head of the Colombian Diplomacy stressed that his country welcomes the fact that the various UN Resolutions have recognized the “value” of the “serious” efforts made by Morocco for the Resolution of the Question of the Sahara.

Similarly, Mr. Trujillo pointed out that Colombia supports the efforts of the United Nations to achieve a “just, sustainable and mutually acceptable political solution” to this Regional dispute.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, received yesterday in Rabat, his Colombian counterpart Mr. Carlos Holmes Trujillo Garcia.
