Coronavirus: 22 new cases in Morocco, 676 in total

Twenty-two (22) new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco from the night of Wednesday until Thursday at 8:00 am, bringing to 676 the total number of cases of contamination, announces the ministry of Health.

The number of deaths due to the coronavirus is 39, while those declared cured are 29, the ministry said on the portal “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative results of analyzes carried out in the laboratory rose to 2726, said the same source.

The 676 cases tested positive were identified in the regions of Casa Settat (188), Marrakech Safi (126), Rabat Salé Kenitra (114), Fès Meknes (110), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (45), Oriental (29), Beni Mellal Khénifra (23), Souss Massa (18), Daraa tafilalet (20), Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra (2) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specifies the site.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
