Coronavirus: Morocco begins preparations for a vaccination campaign

Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb on Thursday held a meeting with regional directors of his department to review preparations for a possible vaccination campaign against Covid-19.

The meeting was also an opportunity to brief regional officials on developments in ongoing research for a vaccine against the Coronavirus.
A roadmap has been drawn up to prepare the campaign that would concern Moroccans once the vaccine is found.

Ait Taleb had assured in an interview that Moroccans would be the first beneficiaries in the world of the vaccine. It is recalled that the Kingdom had signed agreements with two Chinese and British-Swedish laboratories so that Moroccans can benefit from the vaccination at the end of clinical trials.

According to reports, 600 Moroccan citizens have volunteered for these trials.
