Coronavirus: Morocco vaccinated 90.000 people in two days

Officially launched on Thursday January 28 in Morocco, the vaccination campaign against the new coronavirus enabled the first vaccine dose to be administered to 90.000 people across the country, among the priority categories of the first phase. Head of the population directorate in the health ministry, Abdelhakim Yahyane said on Saturday that the figures were still being analyzed, but that the first indicators show that this number would have been exceeded in two days.

He added that the operation was starting with great success, especially through the mobilization of citizens.

In another register, he pointed out that there was a provisional timetable for the receipt of new batches of Sinopharm and AstraZeneca vaccines, but that the exact date of these acquisitions has not yet been set.

Registrations for a vaccination date remain open on liqahcorona.ma.
