Covid-19: Assessment climbs to 858 cases in Morocco

Fourteen new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco until Saturday at 1:00 p.m., bringing the total number of infections to 858, the ministry of health announced.

The number of remissions rose to 62, with the declaration of three new cases of cure, then the number of deaths stagnates at 50, specifies the ministry on the portal “www.covidmaroc.ma“.

In addition, the total number of cases excluded after negative results of laboratory tests was 3,212, the same source said.

The 858 cases tested positive were identified in the regions of Casablanca Settat (241), Rabat Salé Kenitra (162), Marrakech Safi (139), Fès Meknes (121), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (58), Oriental (51), Daraa tafilalet (36), Beni Mellal Khénifra (26), Souss Massa (19), Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra (4) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specifies the site.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
