Derichebourg announces the sale of its activities in Morocco

The company responsible for collecting waste in Morocco, Derichebourg, has just announced the sale of its activities in the kingdom, selling 51% of its shares to its partner MECOMAR.

“As part of the pursuit of its growth strategy on the European market, Derichebourg announces that it has sold to its partner the 51% stake it held in Derichebourg AD Développement, a holding company gathering all of its waste collection activities of household and services in Morocco”, announces the French company in a statement.

“Derichebourg is particularly proud to have, alongside its local partner, put its technical expertise over the last 5 years in the service of the inhabitants of the main communities of the country, as part of the policy of environmental improvement implemented by the Kingdom of Morocco,” the statement said.

Overall, the net impact of the results of the 2019 activity and the result of the sale of the businesses in Morocco will be insignificant on the group’s pre-tax income.
