David Govrin, Israel’s chargé d’affaires in Rabat, announced that direct flights between Morocco and Israel will be launched within two months. This will mark one more step in the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Israeli diplomat made the announcement in an interview. He recalled that Morocco intends to welcome 200,000 tourists after the launch of air links between the two countries, against 45,000 currently.
Mr. Govrin also pointed out that many Moroccans wish to visit Israel. He also said that the liaison office will open a consultation section to provide them with necessary information.
