During January-October 2018, Handicraft Exports Up By 18,4% To 665 Million MAD

During the first months of the current year, Moroccan Handicrafts grew by 18.4 percent to MAD 664, compared to the same period of the previous year.Shows the latest report of the Ministry of Tourism, Air Transport, Crafts and Social Economy.

The category for which foreign sales increased the most was blankets, up 86% and outpacing ceramic and stone items, whose exports climbed 61%.Cast iron items exports increased by 51%.

Europe preserves its rank of 1st customer of Moroccan handicrafts in the first ten months of 2018. The Arab countries hold a 31% share.The United States of America remains at the 3rd position while gaining 2 points compared to last year.Their share has thus evolved from 22 to 24%.
