EBRD grants € 40 million loan for SMEs in Morocco

The EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) has just granted a loan of 40 million euros (MAD 430 million) to the Moroccan branch of Caixa Bank. The latter should distribute the funds in the form of sub-loans to local SMEs.

This loan from the EBRD will allow Caixa Bank to increase the financing necessary to meet the needs of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The EBRD also supports the Caixa expansion strategy towards SMEs located outside the Casablanca-Rabat axis, Tangier and Agadir in this case.
