The Atlas Lions retained their 43rd place in the world rankings for the month of July, published on Thursday by FIFA.
With a total of 1,456 points, the national selection still occupies 5th place at the continental level, preceded by Senegal (1st/1,555 pts), Tunisia (2nd/1,506 pts), Nigeria (3rd/1,493 pts) and Algeria (4th/1,482 pts).
This FIFA ranking has logically seen no significant change, as international matches were not played due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At the top of the hierarchy, Belgium (1,765 pts) thus retains its leader’s chair, closely followed by France (1,733 pts) and Brazil (1,712).
England, Uruguay, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, Argentina and Colombia complete the Top 10, in order.
The next global ranking will be published on September 17, 2020.
