FIFA World Ranking: Morocco downgrade before the AfCON

FIFA has published its ranking of the month on Friday, June 14th. The national team lost two places and is now in 47th position.

Qualified for AfCON 2019, the Atlas Lions are 47th in the FIFA World Ranking and 4th in Africa with 1429 points behind Senegal 22nd (1515), Tunisia 25th (1501) and Nigeria 45th (1433).

Morocco is followed in this ranking by DR Congo 49th (1424) and Ghana 50th (1423). Algeria is 68th.

For its part, Belgium has retained its place at the top of the ranking. France and Brazil complete the podium.

Let’s remember that the Atlas Lions started their training camp at the Maâmora center on June 3rd. They face next Sunday, Zambia before landing in Egypt. Morocco is in AfCON Group D, alongside Namibia, Ivory Coast and South Africa.
