After watching more than fifty feature films, the film selection committee of the official competition of the 1st edition of the International Arab Film Festival Meknes (FIFAM) to be held from June 14 to 21 in Meknes, announcement have chosen 10 feature films. These selected films represent 8 Arab countries in addition to Morocco which will be represented by 2 feature films.
The 10 selected films will compete to win the five awards of the festival: prize of the female interpretation, prize of the male interpretation, prize of the scenario, prize of the best realization and prize of the best film (Olivier d’Or of Meknes) in more than the price of the young audience.

“Extérieur-Nuit” by Sherif El Alfy (EGYPT)

“La sieste du corbeau” by Moez Kamoun (TUNISIA)
“Une urgence ordinaire” by Mohcine Besri (MOROCCO)
“Amina” by Aymane Zaydane (SYRIA)
“One of these days” by Nadim Tabet (LEBANON)
“Le sang des loups” by Amar Si Fodil (ALGERIA)
“Srb Alhamam” of Ramadan Khasroh (Kuwait)
The selection committee specifies that the criteria that guided its choices are the good quality of the image and the sound, the creativity in writing and the realization, the novelty and the anchoring of each film in the culture of the country it represents on the one hand, and in the treatment of the theme that reflects the diversity and richness that characterizes the Arab world, on the other hand.
