Friday prayers will be held in mosques from this week in Morocco

The Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs announced on Tuesday that it has been decided to increase the number of open mosques and that Friday prayers will take place on October 16.

In a statement, the minister thus indicates that the number of open mosques will increase to 10.000, specifying that in addition to the five prayers, they will henceforth welcome that of Friday.

The department also affirms that it will do what is necessary for the success of this operation and will ensure its follow-up in coordination with the competent authorities.

The press release emphasizes, in this sense, that mosques open for Friday prayers will observe the same health precautions for the five daily prayers.

The same source also indicates that the evolution of the epidemiological situation at national and local level will also be taken into account.
