Following the recent government decision to partially open its borders to Moroccans living abroad and foreign residents in Morocco, the Italian shipping company GNV has relaunched its trips to the Kingdom. To ensure this mission properly, the company has chartered 5 ships which start operating at the ports of Sète and Genoa, while respecting the preventive and security measures taken by the Kingdom.
GNV announces the opening of its routes for Moroccans living abroad from Europe, from the ports of Genoa and Sète, since July 15.
These ships of the Italian shipping company are equipped with the latest generation medical equipment with a medical team on board, appointed by the Moroccan government to monitor the testing operations of all Covid-19 passengers.
According to the company, Morocco has demanded the establishment of on-board test procedures on all ships that provide a direct connection to the Kingdom from Genoa and Sète.
In addition to the information forms for serological tests and molecular tests (PCR, to diagnose a Covid-19 infection), to be presented before embarking for the trip to Morocco, these medical teams will also test all passengers before any disembarkation in agreement with the Moroccan authorities.
