Great success for the 1st edition of “Tourism Marketing Days”

The first edition of the “Tourism Marketing Days” was held this Tuesday 17 in Casablanca. At the initiative of the ONMT and in partnership with the National Confederation of Tourism (CNT), no less than a hundred public and private operators and association representatives attended this event which marks a new way to work between ONMT and professionals.

Initiated by the Moroccan National Office of Tourism (ONMT), the “Tourism Marketing Days” is a new event concept which brings together public and private operators in order to implement marketing and commercial strategies capable of positioning the tourism brand Morocco on the global chessboard of Tourism and to help Moroccan professionals to equip themselves to optimally conduct their commercial approach for their companies.

This innovative event was very popular with Moroccan tourism professionals who appreciate being involved in the implementation of actions to be implemented by the ONMT to support the sector.

Adel El Fakir, General Manager of the Moroccan National Tourist Office also highlighted “Tourism Marketing Days”, an event dedicated to tourism professionals. It comes from their demand and their needs so that together we can put the best levers in place to identify our target markets. Better understanding the demand to better respond to it must remain our ultimate goal.

In order to ensure the success of this event and to raise awareness in the sector, the ONMT involved all of its delegates abroad for this first edition.

Five workshops were organized on the sidelines of this great mass dealing with each of the major projects in the sector; namely “Communication and content generation”; the “Commercial Task Force”; “Digital”; “MICE” and “Internal Tourism”. Each of these workshops was led by a pair made up of a private operator and a representative of the ONMT.

Organized at the end of the year, “Tourism Marketing Days” heralds a new era for 2020 where the ONMT and professionals are advancing in tight march to conquer the target markets of Moroccan tourism.
