Inwi is the first Moroccan telecom operator to officially become a member of the GSMA (National Association of Mobile Phone Operators) “Digital Declaration”. This statement brings together 82 leaders from around the world in favor of “responsible leadership in the digital age”.
The “Digital Declaration” is a cross-sector movement of leaders which aims to respond to major challenges linked to digitalization. Its principles call on businesses to respect the privacy of citizens, to handle personal data in a secure and transparent manner, and to implement concrete measures with the aim of countering cyber threats.
By signing this declaration, inwi confirms its commitment to contribute, in a fair, responsible and sustainable manner, to the digital inclusion of the entire population.
The operator’s adherence to this movement is part of inwi’s strategy in terms of data security and protection. Proof of this is the launch by inwi of the first Sovereign Cloud thanks to which 100% of computer data is stored in Morocco securely in our Datacenters.
To offer the highest level of connectivity and security, inwi has partnered with world leaders in this area, to offer cloud and security services to international standards, allowing Moroccan companies to accelerate their digital transformation.
As a reminder, the launch of the “Digital Declaration” took place in January 2019 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. This initiative was born in a context marked by unprecedented changes in the digital world, which involve both businesses and consumers.
Among the signatories are the CEOs of large international companies such as Ericsson, IBM, SK Telecom, Vodafone Group, Sony, Nokia and many others.
