A shooting took place Saturday in a mosque near the Norwegian capital Oslo, making a wounded man, local police said, adding that a suspect was arrested.
“A person who was on the scene is slightly injured,” police said on Twitter, noting that a suspect was arrested shortly after.
The police indicated that they controlled the perpetrator on the scene and did not have information about the presence of other attackers.
Shots were fired inside the Al-Nour Islamic Center in Baerum, a suburb of Oslo.
“One of our members was shot by a white man wearing a helmet and a uniform,” Mosque official Irfan Mushtaq said.
Police say that everything indicates that he is a man of Norwegian origin.
