Handisports: Morocco champion of Africa in Cecifoot

The Cecifoot national team was crowned Africa champion with a win over Mali in Sunday’s Enugu race in southeastern Nigeria.

The Moroccan team has retained the title of African Champion that it won in the previous edition and has managed to validate its ticket for the 2020 Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo.

Before reaching the final of the competition, the Moroccan team had to oust Niger, Egypt and Ivory Coast.

Organized in Nigeria, the finals of the African Nations Championship Cecifoot 2019 brought together the eight best African teams who fought for a week to conquer the qualifying continental title for the Paralympic Games.

Note that the Cecifoot or football five is a disabled sport practiced by athletes visually impaired (visually impaired or blind).
