Huawei says it is ready to work with its telecommunications partners to launch the 5G network in Morocco. This was affirmed, Monday, January 20, before a Moroccan delegation during a visit to a service center of “Huawei”, Philippe Wang, executive vice-president of the North Africa region of the Chinese giant telecoms. Wang thus underlined the group’s desire to work with Morocco to make it a leading center in the field of high technology at the service of the African continent.
“Morocco has multiple assets capable of establishing itself as a hub in the digital domain in Africa”, he said, recalling that the group has signed agreements with 8 Moroccan universities for the training of 12,000 students in three years, and the launch of the Seeds for the Future program. This program allows 10 Moroccan students, the most deserving in the field of ICT, to benefit from a month-long training stay in Chinese universities and Huawei Technologies laboratories in Shenzhen (China).
