The second edition of the winter university for young Moroccans living abroad, organized by the delegated ministry in charge of Moroccans living abroad, opened friday in Ifrane, with the participation of several young people.
This edition aims at promoting citizenship among young people, and enabling them to discover Moroccan values based on peace, tolerance and respect.
The delegate minister in charge of Moroccans living abroad, Abdelkrim Benatiq, pointed out at the opening of this edition that coexistence is present among Moroccans living abroad who «have always been an example of interaction, communication and rapprochement with each other in host societies»
«Young people attending this university have an academic training that allows them to be aware of the current situation and to have the necessary tools to discuss coexistence with specialists», he added.
Abdelkrim Benatiq indicated that through several partnerships with Moroccan universities and regional councils, the number of young people who will benefit from these initiatives will increase from 560 per year to 1,200 participants next year.
Aged between 18 and 25 years old, these young Moroccans from around the world will participate in conferences and round tables supervised by scholars and academics based on the historical, cultural, educational and social aspects of «coexistence».
