India seeks closer economic ties with Morocco

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has announced that his country wants to explore investment opportunities and do business in Morocco, including by using the Free Trade Agreement that binds the Kingdom to the United States of America.

And with regard to the sectors likely to give a new dynamic to relations between the two countries, Jaishankar has cited that of new information technologies where India is world leader, recalling, in this respect, the opening in 2018 a Moroccan-Indian center of excellence in information technologies.

The Indian Minister also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation, particularly in the automobile and pharmaceutical industries, two booming sectors in India.
